Following a number of successful UK workshops this year, SafeStart, the world leading advanced safety awareness programme, will exhibit at the Safety & Health Expo between 19th-21st June 2018, stand P255. Larry Wilson, CEO of SafeStart and creator of the programme will also be in attendance.
SafeStart addresses everyday safety issues experienced by managers including human error, recurring injuries, lack of employee engagement, and the perceived conflict between production and safety. Instead of focusing on the hazard, SafeStart focuses on the state of mind that the individual is in and how this could lead to an incident occurring. The states of mind are rushing, frustration, fatigue and complacency. The programme addresses this state-to-error risk pattern, providing key skills and techniques to minimise errors that are responsible for more than 95 per cent of all injuries on and off the job.[1] SafeStart has been successfully implemented in 64 countries and 32 languages, across 10,000 worksites, with more than 3m people trained.
Moving beyond traditional safety programmes, the initiative helps companies go beyond compliance and simultaneously improve not only safety but overall performance, employee engagement, culture, home safety and business results. SafeStart is relevant to everyone, everywhere. Larry Wilson said: “We have experienced great success at our discovery workshops this year and are looking forward to meeting Safety & Health Expo visitors, demonstrating how our solutions give individuals the skills to improve their safety both at work and home.”
