Champion Group, which comprises Champion Contracting amongst other businesses, is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year and to recognise this major landmark it wanted to give back to charities that matter to the company and its employees, so is therefore committed to raising £50,000.
The company has held number of fundraising events throughout the year to help local charities within its communities but its final challenge is to climb the three Yorkshire peaks, three ways. It has three teams heading out on the weekend of the 18th of June, each facing a huge challenge. One team is going to be tackling the Yorkshire Three Peaks in under 12 hours; one team will be facing the National Three Peaks in 24 hours and the final team will be taking on the National Three Peaks in three consecutive days.
Any donations will go towards a fantastic charity – the Manchester & Salford branch of the Samaritans; who provide (amongst other services) 24 hour listening and emotional support to help combat loneliness and suicide.
