Alpine Works, a leading player in the construction industry, has once again demonstrated its commitment to excellence by securing a prestigious award at the ECA Industry Awards. This accolade, which marks the third award for the company, highlights its dedication to client partnership and exceptional service delivery.
The recent award for Client Partnership is particularly significant for Alpine, as it underscores the company’s unwavering commitment to its clients. Unlike its previous two ECA Industry Awards, which were for Contractor of the Year, this recognition celebrates the company’s ability to foster strong, collaborative relationships with its clients. With over 20 years of collaboration with University College London (UCL), Alpine has built a long-standing partnership that showcases its reliability and expertise in the field.
Rosie Backhurst, part of the Sales and Marketing team at Alpine, commented on the award: “This recognition is a testament to the hard work, knowledge and dedication of our team. Our commitment to building strong client relationships is at the core of everything we do. UCL have 145 buildings as part of the emergency & general lighting contract that we maintain. This is reinforced by our BSI Kitemark accreditation for Emergency Lighting, underscoring the quality and reliability of our work in this area.”
One of the critical factors behind Alpine’s success is the extensive knowledge and expertise of its team. Alpine’s employees have a deep understanding of the buildings they maintain, and this familiarity allows them to provide high-quality service consistently. The company’s collaborations with institutions such as the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine, The British Museum, University College London Hospital, Imperial College, as well as hotels like Richmond Hill and Motel One, further demonstrate its technical proficiency and capability in managing complex projects, and maintenance contracts.
Alpine’s commitment to excellence extends beyond its client relationships to its investment in employee training and development. The company places a strong emphasis on continuous professional development (CPD) courses, ensuring that its team is well-equipped with the latest industry knowledge and skills. This dedication to training is evident in the company’s apprenticeship programme, which provides hands-on experience to new recruits, helping them gain valuable insights from seasoned professionals.
Rosie adds: “Our focus on CPD ensures that our team remains at the forefront of industry standards. Investing in our employees’ growth is crucial for maintaining the high level of service our clients expect.”
Despite the challenges posed by a fluctuating market, Alpine continues to secure significant contracts which also include planned preventative maintenance, to meet their clients’ needs and enable them to use Alpine as a single-source partner.
Looking ahead, Alpine is focused on sustainability and achieving net-zero emissions. The company is actively working on a net-zero plan, addressing client demands for sustainable practices. Its efforts include monitoring energy usage, reducing paper and ink consumption, and transitioning to electric vehicles. With 80 per cent of its fleet already electric, it is well on its way to meeting its sustainability goals. Additionally, Alpine has been involved in numerous carbon reduction projects, including the installation of EV chargers and LED lighting replacements, further underscoring its commitment to sustainability and environmental responsibility for both the business and its clients.
Alpine’s recent success at the ECA Industry Awards is a reflection of the company’s dedication to client partnership, employee development, and sustainable practices. As it continues to expand its services and secure new contracts, it remains committed to delivering exceptional service and achieving its long-term sustainability objectives. This award is therefore not just a recognition of past achievements, but a promise of continued excellence in the future.
