Lucideon provides testing and consultancy for raised access flooring

Lucideon, the international materials technology company, offers a wide range of testing and consultancy services to the raised access flooring industry. Delivered by Lucideon’s construction experts, the services cover the entire industry; from manufacturers, specifiers and installers, through to distributors and importers.

Raised access flooring products, components and systems can be tested at Lucideon’s purpose-built construction laboratories in Stoke-on-Trent, or on-site. The services include performance specification testing, standards compliance, quality control at delivery, air plenum testing, and substrate and system appraisals.

Joanne Booth, Technical Manager, Structural Testing, said: “Our raised access flooring services cater for anybody involved in the industry. In addition to testing, we can prove design models, replicate on-site conditions, analyse causes of failure, and provide support throughout the manufacturing development stages. We have helped develop pedestals and panels for numerous manufacturers both in the UK and overseas.

“We use our facilities and knowledge to help clients develop products and improve performance, reduce costs, improve processes, and ensure products are fit for purpose and conform to regulations.”

Lucideon’s experts sit on a number of regulatory boards and are often at the forefront of developing construction industry standards. The purpose-built construction laboratories can provide testing for multi-storey structures, environmental conditioning, wind loading and much more.

Lucideon is a UKAS accredited testing laboratory (No. 0013) with headquarters in Stoke-on-Trent and laboratories and offices in the USA and Far East. It offers testing and consultancy services to the construction, healthcare, ceramics, nuclear and automotive industries, amongst others.
