Briggs and Forrester MEP Ltd has secured the contract to provide the installation of mechanical, electrical and public health services for Principal Tower from the main contractor Brookfield Multiplex.
Principal Place is a landmark, mixed-use development on the Shoreditch/City of London border comprising 600,000 sq ft of offices, 250,000 sq ft of luxury residential flats and 30,000 sq ft of retail space, in addition to a new 0.5 acre public piazza.
Principal Tower, the 50-storey luxury residential establishment at Principal Place, will be Foster + Partners’ first fully designed residential tower, reaching 175 metres, making it one of the tallest residential buildings in Central London. The tower will include 273 high- specification apartments. The residential development also includes two further buildings of 14 and 6 storeys that encompass social/affordable apartments, together with a community building, residents’ facilities and retail units.

Briggs and Forrester will provide full building services installation including air conditioning, water services, drainage, small power, lighting, audio visual, underfloor heating, access control and ventilation. The design encompasses up-to-date technologies and will provide low carbon sustainable living in the heart of London.
