Arco launches ArcoPro fall arrest – providing solutions for safe working at height

Revealed at this year’s Safety and Health Expo, the ArcoPro Fall Arrest range is a comprehensive offering of the latest safety equipment for those working at height, supporting Arco’s ambition to offer a total safety solution for those most at risk. With the launch of the AroPro Fall Arrest range, the company can provide everything needed to make sure that workers are kept safe, including body harnesses, connecting devices and fall arrest kits supplied in a handy rucksack.

All products in the ArcoPro range are fully tested, comply with all relevant European standards and carry the CE mark.  The products are tested during the manufacturing process and again before distribution to the customer, ensuring the products meet the highest specification and perform in the most demanding situations.  The range has been designed with specific tasks and types of work in mind, particularly the growth of the wind farm manufacture and maintenance sector and includes a new five-point harness solution for rope access work, specialist wire blocks made of non-corrosive galvanised steel for use in harsher conditions and a heavy duty, maintenance free self-retracting block.

For the industrial and construction sectors, where workers may wear their harnesses and safety equipment for long periods, Arco has incorporated an air mesh back plate to provide greater comfort in warm temperatures.  Elasticated harnesses allow increased freedom of movement and offer a wider size range to suit varied body shapes and sizes. Together with one of the lightest retractable blocks on the market, weighing only 600g, Arco has delivered real innovations to the product range to improve comfort, wearer acceptance and safety.

To make selection a simple but accurate process, Arco has produced an ArcoPro Product Selection Guide and has its own working at height experts available to carry out site surveys and provide guidance on product selection and training needs.

Adam Willcock, Arco’s Product and Procurement Manager, PPE, said: “Falls from height still account for almost one third of workplace deaths and injuries and we are now able to provide a complete safety solution for our customers.  Following the acquisition of working at height training specialists, Total Access, we can now offer a fully comprehensive range of height safety solutions, including rope access and rooftop safety training, site services such as abseil window cleaning and site inspections and surveys.  Our new ArcoPro Fall Arrest product range offers the latest innovations in working at height safety but it’s just as important to be fully trained in how to use this equipment and how to work safely at height.”
