Telereal Trillium – Hat-trick secured

Telereal Trillium has been awarded the 2015 Platinum Payroll Giving Quality Mark for their commitment to good causes by encouraging and supporting employees to donate to charity.

This is the third consecutive year that Telereal Trillium has received the award, following seven consecutive years receiving the Gold Award.

The award recognises and rewards businesses for making Payroll Giving available to staff, promoting it, growing participation rates and matching donations. Forty-two percent of employees engaged with Telereal Trillium’s Charity Matching Scheme in 2014/15, either through payroll giving, or one-off donations and fundraisers.

Susan Cain, head of corporate responsibility at Telereal Trillium said: “We are very proud of our staff and their commitment to donating to charitable causes. Over the course of the year, our staff donated and raised £181,293 for 117 different UK registered charities and the company made ‘matching’ donations totalling an additional £92,943.”

Telereal Trillium has run a Give As You Earn (GAYE) payroll giving scheme since the company originated. The scheme gives all employees the opportunity to donate a fixed sum every month to a charity of choice, with the money taken from salary before tax is applied. The company then match the donation up to a maximum of £2,500 per person, per annum. It is the most tax efficient and simple way to regularly support one or more of their favourite charities.

The Mark is awarded by the Charities Aid Foundation. A full list of 2015 Payroll Giving Award winners is available on their website.

In other news, Telereal Trillium has sold the long leasehold interest at Bridge House, Dudley for £3.825m to an undisclosed party who were advised by The Estate Office.

The property formed part of The Merchant Portfolio, a mixture of commercial properties that were acquired by Telereal Trillium in October 2014.

Bridge House is let to The Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government who have vacated the majority of the property. The valuable lease has 224 years unexpired.

Graham Edwards, CEO at Telereal Trillium said: “The sale of Bridge House follows a number of recent transactions demonstrating our focus and active investment in the market. When purchasing the Merchant Portfolio, it was not our intention to hold this interest long term, so we are delighted to conclude the sale. This will allow us to focus on the management of the other properties where active asset management opportunities exist, as well as providing further funds for reinvestment.”

Telereal Trillium was advised by Ereira Mendoza.
