Construction contractor, Clark Contracts is set to work on new £12m hotel development in Southampton and is looking for suppliers to help complete the project. The new Moxy hotel – part of the Marriot Group – will hold 208 beds and will cater for the thousands of cruise ship passengers and tourists visiting the city each year.
In order to meet suppliers and subcontractors to work on the project, Clark Contracts will be hosting an engagement day in partnership with Constructionline – the UK’s leading supply chain management solutions provider. The event will give SMEs in Southampton the chance to speak directly with the main contractor about opportunities to work on the scheme.
Clark Contracts is looking to meet subcontractors working across a wide range of trade categories including scaffolding, ceramic tiling, soft landscaping, external cladding and structural steelwork.
“The event on Tuesday 16th January is designed to help grow our supply chain in the Southampton area in order to support the upcoming work on the Moxy Hotel,” said Michael Scanlan, Director at Clark Contracts. “There will be a morning and afternoon session where we will be presenting further details about the project and Clark Contracts to our attendees.
“There will also be the chance to talk to representatives from the team face to face, as well as further details about how to register with Constructionline in order to get booked in for work. We look forward to meeting you on the day!”
The event will take place at Grand Harbour Hotel, West Quay Road, Southampton S015 1AG on Tuesday 16th January 2017 from 9am until 4.30pm. Attendance is free. More information on the event can be found here https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/clark-contracts-supplier-engagement-day-tickets-41277027701.
